Piyush was born in New Delhi, India and raised in the United States from the age of three.  He brings to his clients a background that includes business immigration, contract/commercial litigation, tax, and business structuring.  He applies his diverse experience working with hospitals, technology companies, law firms and a "Big 4" Accounting firm to meet his clients’ needs.

 

Piyush has developed a substantial immigration law practice and has served hundreds of corporate clients with their business immigration and international business needs in addition to working with many individuals facing various immigration related matters.

 

He is frequently asked by various media to comment on immigration related issues.  He presents regularly to groups in the Asian, European, Indian and Latin Communities throughout Pittsburgh on immigration matters.

 

• Articles and Presentations: Piyush’s publications include, What You Need to Know When Hiring Foreign Graduates for Your Business: Four Key Steps for STEM Job Opportunities.  He is a regular speaker at events where he has covered such topics including:  Hiring International Students from U.S. Universities on H-1B;  I-9 Compliance and E-Verify a Brief Overview; Everything You Wanted to Know about Immigration but were Afraid to Ask, and  Starting a Law Practice.

 

• Honors and Awards:   Piyush was named by Supers Lawyers as a, Rising Star in 2013 and 2012 for Immigration.  He has been honored with awards by Whirl Magazine and the Cystic Fibosis Foundation as Pittsburgh's "Fifty Finest" in 2014 and by WQED and Pittsburgh Magazine as a “40 Under 40” in 2009.  He was honored with invitation only membership to the FBI Citizen’s Academy Class of 2010.  In 2005, he was ranked by MyVisaJobs.com as one of the top 11 immigration attorneys in Pennsylvania.

 

• Memberships and Activities:  Piyush is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, and the Pittsburgh Chapter Treasurer; the Allegheny County Bar Association and is involved with The Indus Entrepreneurs and Global Pittsburgh.

• Education and Background: Piyush earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in History with a concentration in International Studies and a minor in Economics from Binghamton University, State University of New York. He was awarded his Juris Doctor from the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Law where he also obtained a concentration in Health Law.
